Bracey prepares to ring in the holiday season

The fourth annual Bracey Grand Illumination event, in conjunction with the second annual Bracey Christmas parade, is slated for Saturday, Dec. 3.
Festivities will kick off at 5 p.m.
The event will feature an evening of family fun, ringing in the holiday season with raffles, door prizes, face painting, the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the parade.
The parade will feature floats and entries from around the community, including the American Legion Color Guard, the Park View High School Marching Band, local boy and girl scout troops, dance teams and, of course, a visit from Santa himself.
The event is free to attend and will take place in the vicinity of 3840 Highway 903, near Long and Foster Realty, in the Bracey area.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Mecklenburg County Cancer Association and Toys for Tots.
