Chase City man sought in Lynchburg shooting


Police in Lynchburg are searching for a former Chase City resident in connection with a shooting that took place in Lynchburg early on Thursday morning. According to reports, the shooting took place in the 1100 block of Early Street in Lynchburg shortly before 1:00 a.m.
Police are looking for Darrion Romane Reynolds, 32 who faces charges of shooting within the city limits, shooting into an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated malicious wounding. Reynolds had not been taken into custody as of Thursday afternoon.
The as yet unnamed victim was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The wounds were said to be non-life threatening.
Speaking on Friday morning, Chief J.A. Jordan of the Chase City Police Department said that Reynolds and his family had lived in the Chase City area when he was a child, but had moved out of the area years ago.
“The family moved out of the county and he has no ties that I know of to Chase City now,” said Jordan who added that he was aware that Reynolds had resided in Halifax County for some time.
