Indictments handed down
Meeting this week, a Mecklenburg Grand Jury has handed down a number of indictments related to crimes which have taken place in the area over the last month.
Michael Jerome Drummond, 47, was indicted on several charges stemming from an incident on January 28. Drummon faces various charges related to DUI after having been declared a habitual offender.
Christopher Isaiah Williams, 19, has been indicted for the felonious wounding of Justin Dashawn Jones on February 16.
Malik Jomel Meredith, 19, faces charges of felonious possession of more more than one half ounce but less than five pounds of marijuana. The charges stem from an incident in the South Hill area on March 11.
Jason Allan Capps, 41, was indicted for credit card theft in the South Hill area on March 6.
Richard Alfred McSpadden III, has been indicted of several charges relating to shoplifting from the Walmart in South Hill after being previously convicted of similar charges on two or more occasions. The charges stem from incidents which took place between February and March of this year.
Kelly Woodrom 56, was indicted on charges of felonious assault and battery against Tony Soloman, knowing that he was a law enforcement officer engaged in performance of his duties.
James Ryan Hite, 37, has been indicted on charges of possession of controlled Schedule I or II drug, Oxycodone, following an arrest in the South Hill area on April 8.
Keith Maurice Haskins is facing charges for the unlawful, felonious transport or detaining of Tavokeya Da’Sheva Harris. The charges stem from an incident which took place in the South Hill area on April 13.
Gwendolyn Lynette Williams, 55, has been indicted for the theft of property valued at $200 or more from Y. H. Abouemara in the South Hill area.
Kevin Devonte Henson, 25, will faces charges of posses with intent to distribute more than 5 pounds of marijuana and transporting five or more pounds of marijuana into the Commonwealth. The charges stem from an arrest in March.
Edward Brandon Jones, has been indicted for possession with intent to distribute Heroin and possession with intent to distribute Cocaine.
Elson Primus is facing charges of possession with with intent to distribute more than one half ounce but not more than five pounds of marijuana.
Jasmine Cheri-Nichelle Adams, 18m was indicted on charges of credit card theft and credit card fraud for incidents in the South Hill area on March 5.
Lenard Jiggetts, 39, is facing a variety of charges after being indicted in Mecklenburg this week. Jiggetts is charged with committing a willful act of omission in the care of a child, showing reckless disregard for human life, possession with intent to distribute more than half ounce but not more than five pounds of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I or II substance after being convicted of two or more similar offenses. The charges stem from incidents which took place in April of this year.
Damian Rashad Northington has been indicted on charges of possession of a Controlled Substance, Hydrocodone following an arrest in the South Hill area.
Earl Matthew Tisdale will face charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny.
Taliah Shanika Bracey, 18, has been indicted on charges of felonious assault by means of a bat to Jeremy Brown and destruction of property valued at less than $1,000 owned by Brown. The charges stem from a May 4, incident.
