According to Chase City Police Chief J.A. Jordan, officers were dispatched to the Wells Fargo owned parking lot between Wells Fargo Bank and Muddy’s Wing House at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning for a report of shots fired. Arriving on the scene, witnesses told police that a disturbance had started inside the restaurant and moved outside to the adjacent parking lot where multiple shots were fired.

A preliminary court appearance for Alexander is scheduled for April 9.
Speaking on Thursday, Chase City Town Manager Angela Lawrence confirmed that a letter had been sent to Carl Pasko, Jr. owner of the Muddy’s Wing House, informing him that a hearing will be held for cause to revoke the dance hall permit for Muddy’s Wing House. The letter pointed to failure to comply with conditions imposed in the permit including the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and the Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code.
The letter also pointed out that the issuance of the dance hall permit includes the provision that music played or performed in the establishment shall not be unreasonably audible beyond the property and that the Town has received complaints from the public about the noise issue.
The public hearing has been scheduled for the regular monthly meeting of the Chase City Town Council on Monday, March 12, at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Town Hall.
