Meals program returns to Mecklenburg

Mecklenburg County Public Schools will be participating in the 2017 Summer Food Service Program.
Meals will be provided to all children without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, political affiliation or against otherwise qualified persons with disabilities; there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch will be 11:30 a.m. to noon at each of the following sites unless otherwise noted.
• Chase City Elementary School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday.
• Clarksville Elementary School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday.
• LaCrosse Elementary School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday.
• South Hill Elementary School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday, with lunch only on July 3 through 27. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Bluestone Middle School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday.
• Bluestone High School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday, with lunch only on July 24 through 28. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. and lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
• Park View Middle School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday.
• Park View High School from June 5 through 29, Monday through Thursday, with lunch only on July 10 through 14 and 24 through 28. Lunch will be served from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
• Boydton Regional Library will serve lunch only on June 14, 21, 28 and July 5, 12 and 19, Wednesday only. Lunch will be served from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
• St. John’s Baptist Church (children must be pre-enrolled) from June 19 through 29 and July 1 through 27 with breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and lunch 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
All sites will be closed July 3 and 4.
