Over $10,000 in illegal drugs seized, suspect wanted by authorities
Mecklenburg authorities are seeking the whereabouts of, or any information related to Darnell Jeffress, following the execution of a search warrant, conducted by the Southside Drug and Gang Task Force on Friday, March 2.
According to reports, the Task Force, with assistance from the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, executed the search warrant at Jeffress’ home, resulting in the seizure of approximately eight grams of Heroin with a value of $2,000, 118 grams of Marijuana worth $2,360, 64 grams of Crack Cocaine worth $6,400 and 40 Oxycodone pills valued at $400.
Charges against Jeffress for possession with intent to distribute have been filed and the investigation by the Task Force is ongoing.
Jeffress is known to have family in the Red Oak and Charlotte County area. He is also said to be well known in Clarksville and Chase City.
Anyone with any information on the location of Jeffress is asked to contact the Virginia State Police, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Chase City Police Department, Clarksville Police Department, South Hill Police Department, or the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
The Southside Regional Drug and Gang Task Force is made up of officers with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, South Hill Police Department, Chase City Police Department, Clarksville Police Department, Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, and the Virginia State Police.
