Park View’s 1st graduating class celebrates 60th reunion
Park View High School’s first graduating class, the Class of 1956, had an outstanding reunion at Brian’s Steak House on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016.
A total of 45 people attended, and 23 of those were classmates, including C.S. Allen, who traveled from California to attend, and Alice May Harris, who traveled from Canada.
Music from the 1950s was played, hors d’oeuvres and a delicious meal were served and a funny and apropos poem was read by Leigh Lambert about a 60th class reunion.
The first class at Park View brought together students from South Hill, La Crosse, Buckhorn, Palmer Springs and Baskerville. They formed a strong bond that year and have remained close friends over the last 60 years.
