Whiniest returning to Virginia’s only lakeside town

The 12th Annual Lake Country Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 14 with a wide selection of wines from 17 wineries and local craft beers to be featured.
The event will once again take place on the Business bridge near Downtown Clarksville, weather permitting, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for taster tickets at $25 and $12 for those who would like to enjoy the nonalcoholic festivities. Advance tickets can be purchased online at clarksvilleva.com or at the Clarksville Lake Country Chamber, Galleria on the Lake, The Virginia Avenue Mall, Century 21 on the Lake and Cooper’s Landing Inn until April 13. Tickets purchased on the day of the event for tasting will be $30 and for non-tasters $15.
The event is for those 21 years of age and over only.
The wineries planning to attend will include Bright Meadows Farm Vineyared and Winery, Castle Glen Winery, Chateau  Morrisette Winery, DeVault Family Vineyards, Hilltop Berry Farm and Winery, Mattaponi Winery, Preston Ridge Winery, Prince Michel Vineyard and Winery, Ramulose Ridge Vineyards, REBEC Vineyards, Rosemont of Virginia Winery, Stanburn Winery, The Homeplace Vineyard, Three Sisters of Shiney Rock, Tomahawk Mill, Whitebarrell Winery and Sans Soucy Vineyards and Winery.
For those who are not interested in wine, but prefer craft beer, Buggs Island Brewery will be selling beer at $5 a glass.
Along with having a wide selection of beverages to choose from to excite your taste buds there will also be artisan and food vendors as well as live music.
The music for the evening will be performed by, Mecklenburg locals, Brian Parks and Jeff Bailey.
There will also be special Winefest items for sale including caps and shirts along with a “Wine Time” raffle.
Anyone interested in attended is encouraged to bring their own chair, so you can kick back and enjoy this well attended annual event.
