With the Clarksville-Lake Country Wine Festival just over a month away, tickets are now for sale online. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, from noon to 5:00 p.m. Weather permitting, the festival will once more be held on the old Clarksville Bridge, overlooking the lake.
Some 17 wineries from around the state are set to attend the annual event and there will also be a selection of craft beer from Clarksville’s own Bugg’s Island Brewery. Food will be available from Clarksville’s large selection of fine eating establishment and vendors and specialty merchants will also be on hand. Providing music for the afternoon will be Jeff Bailey and Brian Parks and the Tobacco Road Band.
According to Sheila Cuykendall, executive director for the Clarksville-Lake Country Chamber of Commerce, changes and improvements are planning for this year’s event.
“We have been working hard to enhance the layout, first by moving the gate to Second Street which we would be closing the ‘T’ section of Second Street & Virginia Avenue up to the main entrance of McDonalds. Secondly, we will have a few vendors located in that ‘T’ section and then proceeding with vendors on the bridge.”
Cuykendall went on to say that this year, there will be more space between the represented wineries and vendors to allow serving from the sides of the different booths to prevent huge crowds clogging the walking area in front of the booths. Also, she added, organizers hope to add more shade areas this year.
Also, approximately two dozen Slingshots will be on display during the afternoon.
Tickets may be purchased online at via PayPal. Tickets are also available at the Chamber office, Galleria on the Lake, The Virginia Avenue Mall, Century 21 on the Lake and Cooper’s Landing Inn. Advance tickets are $25 with tickets at the gate going to $30. Ticket price includes a souvenir wine glass. Non taster – Designated Driver tickets are available for $12 in advance and $15 at the gate.
All festival proceeds will benefit the Town’s Chamber of Commerce and will go towards future projects. For more information, please contact the Chamber at or by calling 800-557-5582.
