For many years, Womack Publishing has been a family owned and operated Newspaper Company serving Southern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina, providing quality local news for the region. Recently, under the leadership of President Richard Ingram and Director of Operations Chad Harrison the company decided to take a giant step into the future with the creation of its new regional magazine, Wedding Belles.
Wedding Belles promises lots of content for those getting married and those hoping to. Interesting stories and beautiful photos of weddings from across both states along with “how-tos” for do-it-yourselfers, advice on what to do after the “I do” and other general advice to help your big day be the best it can be.
“Our goal is to create a thick, high-quality, coffee-table-style magazine that will attract both male and female readership,” Womack Publishing President Richard Ingram said. “We are already in the process of assembling dynamic editorial content regarding components of a person’s perfect and most memorable day.”
The magazine will be available for $5.95 per copy and will be distributed at Womack Publishing’s 19 newspaper locations from Virginia Beach to Chatham in Virginia and from the North Carolina border to Montgomery County near Charlotte, N.C. Readers can also find Wedding Belles in local Food Lions, Starbucks and at other magazine retail locations.
“For years we have produced successful magazines in our twenty-plus newspaper markets,” said Harrison. “This is our cohesive effort to pool the company’s resources into a really exciting project that we are sure will be tops in its class.”
Our readers are invited to share their favorite stories and photos from their special day with the possibility of having your story chosen to appear in the magazine. Simply send the information and photos to editor@lakegastongazette-observer.com or charles.pogacar@gmail.com. Don’t forget to include a daytime phone number where you can be reached in case there are questions and to notify you that your story has been chosen. We must receive your submission by Feb. 28 in order to be able to consider your story for publication. We look forward to sharing your experiences with everyone in print.
